An outstanding feature of the FPi 4000 & 4030 folding and inserting machines range is the machines' user friendly operating concept. Their clever design enables you to make effective use of the full range of features at a minimum effort.

Colour touch screen - simply by touching the display you can navigate through the menus quickly and carry out any adjustments, the FPi 4000 and 4030 folder inserters need only 3 “real” keys. 20 freely programmable jobs provide quick and easy access to those settings that are used frequently You can switch between 14 languages Located above the display is an area suitable for sorting and aligning letter stacks.  The clamshell design allows easy access to all paper paths Informative menus and detailed error messages offer comprehensive diagnostics possibilities The filling level of the water tank is visible at any time, the envelope sealer can be enabled or disabled easily to suit your needs.

Fill & start

The system can detect document and envelope format as well as the required folding settings automatically. This way, you can process simple folding and inserting jobs quickly without the need for time consuming adjustments.

Daily Mail

Using this function you can process documents which are not suited for automatic processing, for instance stapled documents.

Feeder-swap

As soon as a feeder is empty, the folding and inserting system will automatically switch to another feeder while you are reloading documents, enabling continuous work.

Real sheet control

The FPi 4000 and 4030 folding and inserting machines feature an electro-mechanical double feed detection which reliably measures the paper thickness upon feed-in from the stations.

The Special Feeder only available on the FPi 4000 and 4030 folder inserters are designed for the feeding of more difficult types of inserts for example very glossy mailers and leaflets as well as thicker booklets, etc

OMR

Optionally the FPi 4000 and 4030 folding and inserting machines can be equipped with an OMR function (Optical Mark Recognition). OMR controls the processing of documents and enclosures by means of a printed barcode. If you are currently working with an existing OMR system of another provider, you can order the FPi 4000 and 4030 folder inserters with flexible reading. This allows adaptation to different OMR codes.
